5 Best Pokemon Dog Toys

Updated: 4 days ago

Dogs and Pokemon are two of my favorite things. I have all kinds of Pokemon stuff, including clothing, stuffed animals, cards, and even a shower curtain. However, I surprisingly don’t have any Pokemon-themed pet products. That’s when I realized that I rarely see Pokemon pet supplies, which is surprising considering how popular the franchise is. So, what are some of the best Pokemon dog toys? Are there even that many available?

Best Pokemon Dog Toys

Unfortunately, there aren’t many Pokemon dog toys out there, but I found a few to choose from. Below are some adorable options for your furry friend to enjoy.

Pokemon fetch launcher for pets

This is the only official Pokemon dog toy I could find, but it’s definitely worth it for dogs who love to play fetch. It’s a ball launcher with a rubber ball decorated like a Pokeball. Of course, other 2.5-inch balls could fit in it, but that wouldn’t be nearly as exciting as the themed one. This fetch launcher is retractable to make it easy to travel with, and it has a wrist strap to ensure it doesn’t fly off your hand during intense throws. Pokemon fans will love the adorable design while dogs will enjoy long games of fetch outside.

Winking Pikachu plush

While these aren't official Pokemon toys, Glad Dogs Nation makes a variety of squeaky dog toys themed after the franchise. This includes a variety of character plushies like Pikachu, Squirtle, Litten, and Sobble. While the quality of these toys seems to vary, I was instantly drawn to this site because they donate their profits to help animals in need. Since Mutts About Pets also donates a portion of its earnings, this is of course very important to me.

Small Pokeball plush

While this isn’t technically a dog toy, it can work as one. This is a plush Pokeball from the official Pokemon store. It’s small and soft like a dog toy, so even though it doesn’t have a squeaker, some dogs might like to chew on it and chase it. In addition to the standard Pokeball, you can also get the Master Ball, Quick Ball, and Luxury Ball.

Unofficial Pokemon dog toys

These clearly aren’t official Pokemon merchandise, but they sure are cute. This set comes with three plush toys that make a crinkle sound when your dog chews. The toys look like a controller, a Gameboy, and a Pokemon Gameboy game (except on this toy, it’s called Pawkemon - how cute!) Your dog will look like an adorable little gamer while they play with these toys.

PetSmart Pokemon dog toys
Instagram

PetSmart launched their own line of Pokemon dog toys in early 2025, but unfortunately, they seem to be sold out online at the time of writing this post. However, I still wanted to include them in case they return in the future. The toys included something for all dogs to enjoy, including a frisbee, squeaky bone, and plush Pokeballs. I recommend checking your local PetSmart or seeing if you can buy them secondhand online so your pup can enjoy them. I’m sad that I missed out on getting some.

Get Pokemon Dog Toys for Your Furry Friend

If you love dogs and Pokemon, getting Pokemon dog toys just makes sense. I wish there were more options, but unfortunately, there are only a few at this time.
